Leadercast Live

The Leadercast Live series is the largest one-day leadership event worldwide. Six thousand eager and motivated leaders attended the live session hosted in Atlanta, Georgia while 120,000 leaders joined in from host sites across the country. Nationwide Hotel and Conference Center was proud to serve as one of the host sites for the 2016 series: Architects of Tomorrow! Past speakers have included a varied and knowledgeable array of leaders including Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Malala Yousafzai, former professional football player and 5 time MVP Peyton Manning and former Secretary of State, Condoleeza Rice.

This year, Architects of Tomorrow was broken into 4 themed sessions with a variety of speakers to share their genius on how to build a better tomorrow. The first session was titled, “Eyes to See Tomorrow”. In this session Kat Cole, Group President of FOCUS Brands and Andy Stanley, Founder of Atlanta Based North Point Ministries, focused on channeling energy and passion into a creative vision to inspire change through recognizing trends, needs and opportunities.

Leadercast LiveJames Brown, CBS Sports Analyst, and Nick Saban, Head Football Coach at University of Alabama, spoke on “A Voice to Share Tomorrow”. The sportscaster and coach shared their thoughts on creating a shared vision through communication. Coach Saban focused on concepts that are applied in coaching such as designing and clarifying the common goal as ideas that apply to all facets of effective leadership.

The third session was titled, “A Heart to Inspire Tomorrow” and was kick started with a paper airplane throw. Leadercast Live was attempting to set a Guinness World Record for the most paper airplanes thrown at one time led by Chris Barez-Brown, creativity guru. After setting the world record, Chris and Henry Cloud, Leadership Expert and Psychologist, spoke on transforming businesses by embedding creative leadership into the company culture by engaging and motivating those around you.

In the fourth and final session, Chris returned and joined Steve Wozniak, Co-Founder of Apple onstage for “Feet to Lead Tomorrow” in addition to Rorke Denver, Navy Seal Commander. The tech expert and Navy Seal each shared thoughts on how to mobilize a team to execute a vision as the final, and most critical, step to achieving a goal.

Nationwide Hotel and Conference Center was thrilled to host leaders from our partners and clients, as well as John Mueller from the corporate office. As shared by Leadercast Live, “In its simplest form, leadership looks like creating and casting a compelling vision and mobilizing individuals to fulfill that vision.” The leaders at Nationwide Hotel and Conference Center and all of the Columbus Hospitality Management assets aspire to be visionary leaders who unite under a common goal of creating delighted guests, treasured visitors, and confident hosts.
